Training Officers Certificate (TOC) Course
We are running another TOC course at Luther College. If you are going to be involved in any of the bronze camps, or are keen to do more award training in the future, the TOC qualifcation is an essential one to get.

Cost: $50 per person

Inverloch slsc IRB crew/driver training course
Rob O’Neill has organised a training course for new IRB crew and drivers.

This training course is for all Inverloch members and is suitable for total beginners as well as people who have started their IRB crew/driver training.

The Training dates are as follow:
Sun 13th Sep
Sun 27th Sep
Sun 11th Oct
Sun 25th Oct
Sun 8th Nov
Sun 15th Nov – IRB crew/driver assessment

Training is from 10-12pm and 2-4pm each day

To get your IRB crew you need to hold a bronze medallion

To get your IRB drivers you need to be 17 years of age and hold a bronze medallion and crew certificate.

You must also have a Victorian Recreational Boat License.

To gain your IRB crew or driver qualification you need to do 20 hours of training, therefore candidates need to attend all 5 of the above training days.

Doing this training course will mean you will get your crew or drivers before the season starts.

Venus Bay IRB Camp
Venus Bay are again running an IRB camp in the September school holidays; 23rd-27th September. This camp is open to all Inverloch SLSC members who hold a bronze medallion and who are wanting to get their IRB driver or crew qualification.

If you want to get your IRB quals and you cannot make the Inverloch weekend course, this is a good way to get your quals in one week.

Silver Camp
This year, the Otway region will be conducting an advanced award training camp in Lorne to offer some key awards to lifersavers state wide. This is a statewide camp and all Inverloch members are welcome to attend

The minimum age for the silver camp is 16 years and you must hold a bronze medallion.

Silver Camp will offer training in:

- Senior First Aid

- Spinal Management

- Advanced Resuscitation

- Defibrillation

- Basic Beach Management

The focus of Silver Camp is on First Aid skills and Beach/Response management. There will be a large focus on scenarios and getting involved.

The camp is a live in camp during the September school holidays, 20th Sept - 25th Sept
