Want to be a patrolling club member of Inverloch? Or do you enjoy competition? The first step is to obtain your BRONZE MEDALLION (Certificate II in Public Safety - Aquatic Rescue).

Inverloch is pleased to offer this accredited course. Undertaking the Bronze requires both time and dedication. Usually taking 6-8 weeks to complete, it involves approximately one evening per week learning the theory and at least one session per week on the beach learning rescue techniques. Extra time is needed for study and practice. We also offer a week camp were training is intense and strong social bonds are formed quickly.

We advise that you do not undertake this course unless you are prepared to work hard. But the benefits are immense. Each year Inverloch Surf Club holds a 'Bronze Training camp' were delegates spend a week of intense training at Inverloch staying with us at our facilities, learning first aid theory and rescue techniques as well as fitness and well being.

The camp cost cover delegates for club and national membership, accommodation for the week, three hearty meals a day, qualified trainers and supervisors equipment use and the basic patrol uniform and training manual so members will be set to start patrolling on our beach as soon as the camp is complete.

After completing your Bronze, you may continue with your surf education by undertaking your Advanced Resuscitation Certificate, you're Silver Medallion or if IRB interests you, your IRB Crewman or Drivers certificate. The Bronze opens up the doors for Surf Life Saving. By undertaking your award at Inverloch, you are obliged to join a Freshwater patrol.

We have two intakes for Bronze each season - Bronze camp and Bronze weekend training group. Places may be limited.
