Anderson Inlet Paddle
King & Queen results through next week.

The King & Queen of Invy is a unique event held over the Australia
Day long weekend. To be in the running to be crowned King or Queen
of Invy, you have to complete the Surf & Sand 10km run, Anderson
Inlet 1.2km Swim, and Anderson Inlet 12km paddle.
Current King Luke Bell and Queen Kelli van de Water will be hard
to beat after strong performances in 2 of the 3 events. This is
a multi-Sport challenge with a difference and often it's the most
consistent performer across each event that prevails. So get swimming,
running and paddling!
How it works:
Your place in each event is collated and the person with the lowest
total wins. In the case of a tie, it then goes to a count back on
total time. Men and women are separate when it comes to points.
The run and paddle will include everyone regardless of if they are
in the King & Queen of Invy contest. The swim only includes
those in the 'competitive' wave, to see more info on this checkout
how the waves work on the Anderson Inlet Swim page.
Entry:
Get your entry in online, you save money and go in the running for
the major prize donated by the Inverloch RACV Resort; an accommodation
and dinner package for two, another way (and a lot easier) to be
King & Queen of Invy. It also makes the events a lot easier
to organise and you receive updates via email about the event in
the lead up. If you want to enter the King and Queen of Invy remember
to enter all 3 events.
Prizes:
The RACV Inverloch Resort is the major sponsor and has kindly donated
the prize money for the King & Queen of Invy podium finishers:
First- $300
Second- $200
Third- $100
Do yourself a favour and stay at the Resort some day!
Safety:
The Inverloch Surf Life Saving Club prides itself on safety and
will be doing everything possible to ensure everyone has a fun and
safe event. However, please always remain aware of potential dangers
for you or anyone else around you. Also ensure that you have trained
adequately to complete the event you have entered. Given there is
a short and long option for each event you can change your mind
as late as Wednesday night before the event and enter the more appropriate
event online (send an email to the race director as soon as you
do this for a refund on the other event).
Fundraising for the ISLSC
Every event you enter earns the ISLSC $10, last year we had just
under 400 entrants over the weekend so the club raised just under
$4000. This year we hope to grow on that so get down to Inverloch
for the Australia Day weekend to have a go!
Timing & Event Limits
All entrants in the long and short course events will be electronically
timed. Please not that the entry cut off for each long course is
200 and for the short course 100. This is because we have 300 timing
bands, you will be given your timing band at race registration and
it is essential to hand them back at the finish line (you may notice
the volunteers dive for your leg at the finish line).
Event T-Shirts
The event t-shirts are white technical t-shirts with the event logos
on them, they cost $25 when ordered online. We encourage you to
order them online when you enter the event, if you decide later
you can go back into your entry and add the t-shirt order or change
the size. When you choose your size you can change this at the race
registration if you try it on straight away and find you need a
different size, however this helps our ordering. Those that don't
order a t-shirt online will have the opportunity to buy the t-shirt
after the final presentations (Sunday morning after the swim) for
$30 cash.
