Ansell And Bolton Most Outstanding Active Award
Angela Malan
Angela Malan was recognised for her outstanding commitment to
our club by receiving our top award, the Ansell and Bolton Most
Outstanding Actives Award. Angela was given a standing ovation
when the award was announced. Angela has made an extremely valuable
contribution to our club this season. Angela sits on the executive
committee as Vice President Junior Division, she manages the
nipper program, is an active patrolling member and patrol mentor
of patrol, member protection officer and is a competition official.
Angela also sits on the Youth and Leadership Development Executive
at LifeSaving Victoria as Lifesaving Development Coordinator.
Angela is a great character to have around the surf club and
is always friendly, helpful and welcoming to all. |

Presidents Award David Greenwood
David Greenwood was recognized for his great contribution to
our club by receiving the presidents award. David is an executive
committee member, Vice President Sponsorship and Fundraising,
an active patrolling member and competition official. David
has been instrumental in securing our current major sponsors
and platinum sponsor as well as managing numerous other fundraising
efforts including the club ball, sausage sizzles at the Big
4 caravan park, Food and Wine Festival. David has been stand
in President while Alan Bolton was overseas. |

Chief Instructors Award Jake Lurati
Jake Lurati was awarded the Chief Instructors award after a
prolific season of training. Jake was co chief at our bronze
camp and organised numerous ARTC and IRB training sessions throughout
the season. All up Jake put through 20 crew and 5 drives. Jake
is one of our very top patrollers and leader within our club.
Jake puts in countless behind the scenes hours through his role
with the IRB racing team, as gear steward and through organising
many fund-raising tin rattles. Jake's commitment to the club
has been consistent over the year and we thank him for his outstanding
contribution. |

Patroller of the Year Daniel
Dalgleish
Daniel Dalgleish (Carter) was recognised for his big contribution
to our club this year by being named our top patroller. Carter
missed all of last season due to his commitments in the army
but returned to the club this summer to tackle a patrol captains
role. Carter showed strong leadership qualities and outstanding
commitment to maintaining our high patrol standards and should
be commended for the job he did as PC. Carter helped at all
of the King and Queen of Invy events and was also a member of
the competition team. Carter has fast become one of our top
club leaders and we look forward to him continuing to keep our
patrol standards high. |

Gold YIPS - Thomas Malan
Thomas Malan was awarded his Gold YIPS award after making a
significant contribution to multiple areas of the club. Thomas
has been a very committed and valuable patrol member, patrolling
100% of his rosterred hours. He attended many life saving operations
meetings as part of the junior club captain group. Thomas and
his great mate Jordy Tomas organised the rookie BBQ which was
a great tradition we started this year. THomas was a member
of the summer competition team and also coached along with Jordy
the junior competition training sessions in January, and also
ran the RACV nipper program. Thomas is one of our best young
leaders and we look forward to seeing him continue to develop.

Most Improved Natalie Wabbis
Its hard to believe Nat Wabbis has only been at our surf club
for two seasons. Wabbis has made a fast start to her lifesaving
career playing a major role in our club this summer. Wabbis
along with her great friend Sarah Johns had the courage to accept
a vice captains role and did an outstanding job. The pair assisted
their patrol captain Stu Mckenzie very well and organised many
patrol dinners including the Mexican Fiesta. Wabbis went on
to represent Inverloch at the Bass District Development Camp
and was also a committed member of the summer comp team. Wabbis
went on to compete at the Victorian Summer titles in Lakes Entrance
and has recently been a member of the IRB team competing at
the Victorian and Australian Championships. Nat Wabbis also
designed our ISR badges and was a member of the End of Season
Party sub committee. |

Rookie of the Year Tom
McMorrow
I have never seen a rookie year quite like the one Tom Bundy
McMorrow has had. In just one summer Bundy now holds his bronze,
IRB crew, senior FA, ARTC, spinal man, Basic Beach Man!!! Bundy
was a member of the summer comp team months before he even did
his bronze and has been an extremely committed member ever since.
Bundy came 4th in the State titles 2km run and has also been
a member of the IRB team!! Bundy has displayed great awareness
to speak up about various issues and had the courage to present
these to the club captain. This is a great sign for a first
year member and this sort of feedback should be encouraged.
In a new tradition Bundy is organising the rookie hats for next
season rookies so look out for these. Well done Bundy for immersing
yourself in this club in your first year. We have loved having
you around and look forward to seeing you develop into an outstanding
lifesaver and lifeguard. |
