King & Queen results through next week.

Enquiries contact Liam Delany: liam@vigor.net.au

The Anderson inlet offers a safe and clean ocean swim in a protected environment. For the more experienced open water swimmers there is the 1.2km course, this is the course all King & Queen of Invy entrants will do. If you are new to the sport or it's been a while between swims we have a 600m course. We also try to time the event around the tides so you should get some tidal assistance for a fast swim.

Entry:
Get your entry in online, you save money and go in the running for the major prize. It also makes the events a lot easier to organise and you receive updates via email about the event in the lead up.

Wave Starts:

To ensure everyone has an enjoyable swim we have decided to split the waves by gender and ability, you will still get your results by age group as well regardless of which wave you go in. The waves are self-seeded, e.g. you decide on the morning of the event which wave you go in. Except all potential Kings and Queens must go in the competitive wave:
1st wave - Male 'competitive' and potential Kings of Invy
2nd wave - Female 'competitive' and potential Queens of Invy
3rd wave - Male 'having a go'
4th wave - Female 'having a go'
5th wave- All 600m swimmers after last 1.2km swimmers passes through.

Prizes:
Thanks to the Bass Coast Shire for supporting the event we are able to award the male and female podium finishers prize money as follows:

First: $150
Second: $100
Third: $50

Thanks to the sponsors below we also have many product prizes which will be given out at the presentation after the swim at Rainbow Park at about 10:30am after the swim. To claim a prize you have to be there. This will also be the presentation for the King & Queen of Invy.

Safety:
The Inverloch Surf Life Saving Club prides itself on safety and will be doing everything possible to ensure everyone has a fun and safe event. However, please always remain aware of potential dangers for you or anyone else around you. Also ensure that you have trained adequately to complete the event you have entered. Given there is a short and long option for each event you can change your mind as late as Wednesday night before the event and enter the more appropriate event online (send an email to the race director as soon as you do this for a refund on the other event).

Fundraising for the ISLSC
Every event you enter earns the ISLSC $10, last year we had just under 400 entrants over the weekend so the club raised just under $4000. This year we hope to grow on that so get down to Inverloch for the Australia Day weekend to have a go!

Timing & Event Limits
All entrants in the long and short course events will be electronically timed. Please not that the entry cut off for each long course is 200 and for the short course 100. This is because we have 300 timing bands, you will be given your timing band at race registration and it is essential to hand them back at the finish line (you may notice the volunteers dive for your leg at the finish line).

Event T-Shirts
The event t-shirts are white technical t-shirts with the event logos on them, they cost $25 when ordered online. We encourage you to order them online when you enter the event, if you decide later you can go back into your entry and add the t-shirt order or change the size. When you choose your size you can change this at the race registration if you try it on straight away and find you need a different size, however this helps our ordering. Those that don't order a t-shirt online will have the opportunity to buy the t-shirt after the final presentations (Sunday morning after the swim) for $30 cash.
